On Saturday May 2, 2026 the Atlantic County Historical Society sponsored the inaugural Atlantic County event recognizing the Semiquincentenial of the founding of the United States of America.  The Society received substantial support from Atlantic County Government, especially the Atlantic County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs (Kim Brown and Britani Mazzone) and the Round Table of Historical Societies.

Speakers included  Atlantic County Commissioner John Risley, Ocean County Historian Tim Hart, Society President Sid Parker, Eagle Scout candidate Xavier Shea and ACHS Treasurer Charlie Morgan.

Also represented were the Color Guard of the NJ Society Sons of the American Revolution, Stockton University and the Greate Egg Harbour Historical Society.

Event music was provided by the Seadogs and the Sandpipers Pipe and Drum Group.
