On Saturday, May 2, 2026 the Atlantic County Historical Society sponsored the inaugural Atlantic County event recognizing the Semiquincentenial of the founding of the United States of America. 

Speakers included  Atlantic County Commissioner John Risley, Ocean County Historian Tim Hart, Society President Sid Parker, Eagle Scout candidate Xavier Shea and ACHS Treasurer Charlie Morgan.

Also represented were the Color Guard of the NJ Society Sons of the American Revolution, Stockton University and the Greate Egg Harbour Historical Society.
